What the doctor listens for

The doctor's fingers at a guest's wrist, reading the pulse.

Every visit to Hrada begins the same way: sitting down with the doctor, unhurried, before anything else happens. Guests sometimes arrive expecting a checklist. What they get is a conversation.

The doctor listens for the things you would not think to mention. How you sleep, and when. What your appetite has been doing. Where the body complains first when a week runs long. The pulse is read; so is the way you sit.

Only then is a ritual chosen, and it is chosen with you. Nothing at Hrada is decided before this conversation, which is why we never let it be rushed.
